What is Kickstarter?

Kickstarter is a funding platform that provides opportunities for you to financially support a project/book created by someone else. It is not a donation page as you typically receive something in return.

If you decide to back my project, you are helping me with self-publishing expenses (e.g., illustrations, design, postage) and receiving a copy of the book and some cool swag.

Along the way, I’m hoping to use this platform as a way to reach more people and share this book with others. Please feel free to pass on the Kickstarter link to someone you know. Thanks again for your support. 

Funding on Kickstarter is all-or-nothing. No one will be charged for a pledge towards a project unless it reaches its funding goal.

How to pledge on Kickstarter:

1. Log into your kickstarter account (If you are new to Kickstarter, you will need to make an account)

2. Navigate to the Project Page (Type in “children’s books)

3. Select your reward by selecting the “Reward” button and finding the tier/reward you desire.

4. You can also select Add-on and Bonus Support

5. Review your Pledge

6. Enter your payment details (name, credit card number…) and select “pledge”

7. Next you will see a page that says thank you and indicates the project and amount that you backed. It also indicates that you will receive an email with details. 

8. When the Kickstarter time frame is finished (21 days) and the Project Goal has been met, your credit card will be charged for the Reward amount you chose. 

9. Your reward will be mailed to the address you designated on Kickstarter. An estimated delivery date is suggested by the creator/author. Please note that sometimes there are unexpected circumstances and delivery dates are just approximations.
